GENERATION X "Your Generation / Listen" 7" 1977 Band Self-Released UK GX-101


Released by the band as a "bootleg" in 1977 well before their debut single on Chrysalis. Punk, raw and less slick than the major label versions of the songs. Each single has different hand written text and drawings. I've read elsewhere that only 100 were pressed. I picked up a few copies at the Rock On stall in Soho in London in '77.  Runoff grooves have this matrix number and message: Side A: GX-101-1A1 PRE Side B: GX-101 B1 Beep Beep

minor scuffs on both sides.  I cleaned and played the single and found no pops clicks skips etc except during the end of the fade out on both sides. VINYL Been sitting in a box in storage since 1984. Visual inspection reveals a couple of scuffs on the YG side and a scuff and a tiny scratch on the L side. Played both tracks and heard no ticks, pops, etc on the YG side and heard one tick, a light tick and surface noise as the song fades out on the L side.
SLEEVE Generic white sleeve. Will send a new one.
