Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
MONO vinyl LP Prestige PRLP 7257 (Van Gelder stamped in dead wax, Bergenfield address) - released 1963
Vinyl EX with nice sheen and gloss. Clean labels. May have been played once prior. Test played on NAD C555 turntable revealed (mostly) clear and present analogue sound. I detected 4 consecutive vinyl inherent pops on track two side one and one click midway side two. But overall, the sound quality is superior on this quality pressing. The EX laminated cover has virtually no shelf wear with straight spine and seams. There is a small nick lower left corner. The rear cover has some light spotting and age discoloration consistent with age. Still - a beautiful LP!
