ARTIST: GANDALF

LABEL: GANDALF SKIVPROD. 077-1 (PRIVATE RELEASE)

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: SWEDEN

YEAR OF RELEASE: 1977

MATRIX CODE SIDE A: GANDALF 077 1A GP1 (Stamped)

MATRIX CODE SIDE B: GANDALF 007 2A GP1 (Stamped)

CONDITION: (vinyl/cover) VG+/VG+ ***GREAT COPY!*** (Please read detailed information below!)

Another of these REALLY scarce Swedish private pressings. Circa 500 copies was manufactured in 1977. Great guitarbased progressive rock with both flute and piano incorporated. Listed in POKORA´S 3001 (4 stars) and in The encyclopedia of Swedish progressive music (8 stars of 10 possible) Absolutely ESSENTIAL and one of the most sought after Swedish private releases.

COVER; The unlaminated cover has some creases round the edges, most evident at the spine. All four corners are pretty sharp, with only minor rubbing top left and bottom left. There is a faint ringwear on front. There is no unwanted writing and hardly any dirty spots. A solid VERY GOOD PLUS and will be hard to upgrade.

VINYL; The vinyl shows great lustre, but when held under strong light, some fine hairlines appear. Some minor crackle can be heard in between some of the tracks and in some of the more quiet passages. Nothing too serious, I would say and it easily grades as VERY GOOD PLUS.

LABELS; Both labels are clean with just some mild spindlemarks. I doubt that this copy has been played a lot. Unless you truly aim for a MINT-copy (Good luck with that…) I´m positive that you WILL be satisfied with this one!

BOOKLET; there is a booklet in very good condition included. I can´t however guarantee its authencity, as both the paper- and the copy quality indicates that it has been photocopied from an original. But better than nothing, I suppose…

I use GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS – MINT/NEAR MINT/VERY GOOD PLUS/VERY GOOD/GOOD/POOR. I only use the term "MINT" when the record is factory sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) means NEAR MINT both visually and audible! VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) is the same as EXCELLENT (EX) in other grading systems. My ambition is to provide an as accurate description as possible and I do not try hide any defects or other flaws on the record and cover. MY GRADING IS STRICT and winning bidder ALWAYS has full refund minus shipping costs! PLEASE E-MAIL IF ANY CONCERNS! THANK YOU AND HAPPY BIDDING!

GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS

MINT ---- It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

NEAR MINT ---- Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.

VERY GOOD PLUS ---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original lustre may be lost. A slight scratch that did not affect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.

VERY GOOD ---- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl lustre, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.

GOOD ---- Well played with little lustre and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.

POOR ---- Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above "Good" grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws
