Description

Most people don't know that The Freedom Family in fact was Geraldo Pino's backing band on both his LPs on Nigerian EMI. The band originated in Ghana where Pino picked them up in the early 70s and took them to Nigeria to do some heavy touring and to record his two first LPs. At some point, Pino and the  band split up, the Freedom Family was formed and this record was recorded at the EMI studios in Lagos. The band went back to Ghana, brought the master tapes with them and had the record pressed up in their homeland. Nowadays, this record is very, very rare.

It's also very, very good. I recorded sound sampled of 8 of the 9 tracks for you. As you will find out, they are all pure bred Funk killers that are guaranteed to ignite dancefloors all over this world. In fact, it's almost ridiculous how good this record is... almost unreal. This is one of the rare examples of a record that will sound better with every time you listen to it. I promise. The one track I didn't record for you is a ballad. It's the kind of a ballad that cause panties to drop and I didn't want to be responsible for posting it online. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. The singer of this band, a gentleman by the name of Albert Jones was a world famous womanizer who broke hearts on several continents for the past 4 decades and although he claims to be converted by now, I'm not sure if I would trust him 100% but I'm straying off-topic here, I am sorry.

To top it all off, I'm not only throwing in FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING for the US but also FREE INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS MAIL for my beloved customers from overseas!

The Vinyl is in true VG+ condition. Very glossy and would be stone cold NM if it wouldn't be for a few inaudible spots that look like smears but wouldn't clean up visually. Like I said, you won't hear a thing.

Cover is super nice, as good as no ringwear, some wrinkles and three half inch long tears along the mouth on the front cover. Obviously from the previous owner having difficulty putting the vinyl back into the sleeve, which is understandable since this record is a beast that can hardly be contained... signature on the front and on the labels... check out the pictures, they're worth more than all my words. Oh, almost forgot, no seam splits! You will not be able to find a nicer copy!

I'm normally trading my records with other collectors and have been known to sell a record or two in private and only put a few things on ebay about once a year so if I would be you, I'd take advantage of this! This is the cleanest spare copy of this record to ever hit ebay so please bid accordingly.
