Rare mono album
Sleeve a little dog-eared but still excellent condition with no writing or staining
One of the best sleeves I have seen
Vinyl has some slight marks but plays wonderfully
This album is a great find
The Beatles FIRST official L.P. release.
For the ONLY time, the mono version was issued 6 weeks BEFORE the stereo version.
This album contained the “A” and “B” sides of their first two singles, plus 10 new songs.
All recorded in one incredible session at Abbey Road.
The session cost just £400 and lasted 16 hours.

Fourth pressing, summer 1963 – January 1964.
Ernest J.Day & Co. front laminated cover, with large “mono” on front.
Black label with yellow logo and silver print.
“The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Recording first published 1963?.
Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve.
With KT tax code on the label.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 421-1N; Side 2: XEX 422-1N.
Fourth Pressings (1963)
The standard yellow block writing Parlophone label.
The "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label starts with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd."
The label DOES have "Recording first published 1963", but NOT "Sold in the U.K..." statements.
The word "mono" on the front cover is larger than in later editions.
Many other sellers would describe this as a 5th pressing, but all my research points towards the above descriptions, which would make this a 4th pressing.
