Description

Original stereo pressing of Fred Jackson "Hootin' 'n Tootin'" on the blue and white New York USA labels of Blue Note BST 84094. This is Jackson only leadership date for Blue Note. Strangely, none of the stereo pressings have the "ear" or deep groove. The playing surface is immaculate – bright and shiny, with a high luster – and appears unused, though a single spindle trail on each labels suggests it was played, perhaps once. The laminated New York 23 cover is in very close to new condition – extraordinarily bright and clean throughout, with just very slight rubbing to the bottom corners.

Personnel includes Earl VanDyke (organ), Willie Jones (g), and Wilbert Hogan (dms).
