This is a box set containing seven LPs by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention originally released between 1969 and 1972 -- Uncle Meat, Hot Rats, Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, Chunga's Revenge, Fillmore East--June 1971, and Just Another Band From L.A.-- plus a "Mystery Disc" of previously unreleased material from the period. As such, it continues the story begun in The Old Masters, Box One bringing Frank Zappa up to the point that he had been injured by a fall from the stage in 1971 and broken up the second edition of the Mothers of Invention.

plus another "mystery disc" (BPR 8888-8), jam-packed with fun stuff like old recordings of the Mothers and pre-Mothers recordings. Since Uncle Meat was a double LP, box 2 was a 9-LP box.
Including page booklet and all inserts originally in the LP jackets. Also includes the original registration card.
The LP sleeves are exactly as I received them. They have been out of the box only once or twice. The discs are in MINT condition, as are the LP covers. The box itself is in Excellent condition with no seam separation, only a few minor scuffs, and no tears. Everything in the box is exactly as I got it - nothing was removed or replaced. The inserts in the Ruben & the Jets LP are original, not photocopies.
I purchased this box set from Tower Records at the time of release and the LPs have never been played. I am selling my personal collection, I am not a record store or a dealer.
