Description
Original 1968 UK issue of Frank Zappa's 'Lumpy Gravy' LP on Verve Records catalogue number 2317046. Early press - gatefold cover and complete with original poly-lined inner sleeve. Stunning mint condition! This is part of a huge collection of late 60's & 70's LPs that we recently purchased and which includes hundreds of classic rock LPs - progressive, psychedlic, early country rock, etc. many of which are very rare. However, the really amazing thing about this collection is the absolutely stunning condition in which the records have been maintained particularly bearing in mind that most of these are now 30 to 40 years old! The guy that owned these was a genuine hi-fi buff and a real condition freak - a few of the LPs even contained notes from record labels enclosed with replacement records where he'd returned them as unsatisfactory pressings! I think you get the picture. The records were also very carefully stored over the years and he was very fussy about maintaining not only the outer sleeves but also any special inners, inserts, posters, etc. In short, the condition of this lot was so amazing that I kept thinking I was looking at recent re-issues, but as you will see from photos these are all genuine 60's & 70's issues - a real find and a genuine pleasure to list.
