Diese Doppel-LP, veröffentlicht 1978 auf Lunar Toones (2S-5) besteht größtenteils aus Titeln der Originalversion von Zappas gescheitertem Projekt der "Läther" 4-LP Box von 1977. Warner Records weigerte sich, die Box zu veröffentlichen, worauf der angepisste Zappa in eine Radiostation marschierte, und eine Testpressung des gesamten Albums im Radio spielte, und die Zuhörer dazu aufforderte, ihre eigenen Ausgaben des Materials zu veröffentlichen. Hier ist eines dieser Exemplare. Folglich ist die Tonqualität auf diesen LPs hervorragend und Stereo, da sie von einer Radioübertragung stammt.

Die Titel, welche aus anderen Quellen kommen, sind: Titel 1 ("Dead Girls Of London"): Die Original-Version, gesungen von Van Morrison (!), ursprünglich aufgenommen für Lakshminarayana Shankars Album "Touch Me There".
Sowie Titel 14 und 15, welches sehr lange und interessante Interviews mit Herrn Zappa von 1972 und 1978 sind.

Das Cover hat zwei angestoßene Ecken, ansonsten sind LPs und Cover wie neu!
   

English:

This 2-LP set put out in 1978 by Lunar Toones (2S-5) features mostly tracks from the original version of Zappa's infamously unreleased 1977 "Läther" 4-LP box set. Warner Records refused to release it, so Zappa went to a radio station with a test pressing, playing it in full, and encouraging listeners to release their own versions of it. This here is such an example. Thus, the sound quality is excellent stereo throughout, since it originates from an FM radio broadcast.

The tracks which do not come from these tapes are Track 1 ("Dead Girls Of London"): the original version, never released, with Van Morrison (!) on vocals, originally recorded for Lakshminarayana Shankar's album "Touch Me There".
And Tracks 14 and 15, which are very long and insightful Interviews with Mr. Zappa from 1972 and 1978.
