Description

The Sisters of Mercy: Floodland (MoFi) LP.

Purchased by me and imported from the Mobile Fidelity sound Lab website in the USA and very well looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since. I have multiple pressings of this album so have decided to sell some off. This is the highly regarded audiophile Mofi Pressing from 2012. It’s a numbered limited edition (see photo) and now long out of print. Interestingly it’s also the original Japanese mix so slightly different than the original U.K. mix… you can look more into the differences online. It’s probably been played 1 or 2 times and is in near perfect condition. I’ll grade as near mint as it’s no longer sealed. Please read full description below and take the time to scroll through all the photos to fully appreciate the nice condition of this record and view any highlighted imperfections.

The outer sleeve has no splits and in lovely condition with a sharp and fully readable spine. The record is housed in a MoFi branded anti static inner sleeve with no splits and the MoFi leaflet advertising other titles is included in an as new condition. The number 4464 is stamped on the rear indicating it’s from the original first press run limited to 5000.

The vinyl is also in lovely near mint condition as I have mentioned it has only been played a couple of times. When scrutinised under a very bright LED light I can see a few production residues visible but these don’t affect the play or sound in any way.

I would have cleaned it when I originally bought it, but I have also just cleaned the record again in my professional vacuum record cleaning machine using the award winning L’Art du Son cleaning fluid so it’s now in the best possible condition for the new owner to enjoy. After cleaning I have just test played both sides all the way through and can confirm it plays beautifully with absolutely no skipping, sticking or jumping. It’s a fantastic sounding pressing and master with barely any surface noise on my set up (Project Debut Carbon deck fitted with an Ortefon 2M Blue stylus). There is only the odd hint of a crackle every now and again between tracks that serves to remind you your listening to a record rather than a digital file. Highly recommended pressing if your a Sisters fan.

I will post this packaged properly so that no damage will occur in transit and send by a Royal Mail signed for service. Do ask if you have any questions.
