Description
You're viewing an original Drive Thru Records double disc, double sided 12" TEST PRESS copy of Finch's first full length release "What It Is To Burn," limited to 12 copies.
This test press vinyl record was manufactured by Erika Records Inc, commissioned by Drive Thru Records.
I purchased this copy directly from the record label, after they found a few boxes of old DTR merchandise in a storage unit. This album is a collectible item for any serious fan of the band or the DTR label itself.
This copy is listed as "Used" but it has only been played three times since it has been in my possession (once to record video clips to provide proof of authenticity, furnished upon request). I have been extremely careful in handling it each time I have taken it out.
To my dismay, none of the test press copies of the DTR vinyl were properly labelled with the Artist, Album Title, Date, Label, or Job Number; as you can see in the picture. If you would like to see video footage of it in action, I can provide video clips.
What you see is what you get. Rarely do test press records come with a retail sleeve or complete artwork, since they are mid-production pressings.
Test presses are made as a guide for the artist/label to determine whether or not the metal plates (used to duplicate copies of the record) are free of defects before the manufacturer is given the go ahead to mass produce additional copies - which are then available for retail. You never know when this will pop up again for sale, there are only 12!
Willing to package other listings together for a small discount and cheaper shipping. I included a handling charge of $5.00, as I highly recommend you insure this purchase. I accept PayPal ONLY!
