Fac 86R ‘The Hacienda Must Be Built’ Model Kit Extremely Rare – Only 500 Made Designed by Trevor Johnson of Johnson/Panas in 1983 2nd Edition re-print 1990 This item can be seen at Fac 491 Hacienda 25 The Exhibition, Urbis, Manchester with many more of my items.

You are bidding for a Fac 86R, Fac 51 The Hacienda model kit – originally designed by Trevor Johnson of Johnson/Panas in 1983 as a Christmas card. 500 were reprinted in 1990 (hence the letter R after 86) to be sold in Fac 281 The Area (Factory’s shop in Affleck’s Palace). Fac 86R The Hacienda Must Be Built consists of 5 A4 cardboard sheets (4 colour on one side/ industrial silver on back) that, when cut out, make a model of the Hacienda. It comes with a blue & white banderole saying Fac 86R ‘The Hacienda Must Be Built’. (The 5 Pieces of Card - Click on any image to enlarge)

To give provenance to your artifact, and to authenticate it, you will receive a description of the model kit hand written on Hacienda letter headed paper Trevor says of the inspiration for his design: “Tony [Wilson] called me round to his house one Saturday and gave me a cutout children’s theatre book of his son Oliver's, who was about two years old at the time, I think. He said "This is what we want to do for a Christmas card this year, can you make this into the Hacienda?" And that was it, we did it from there. Well there was more to it than that obviously, but it was Oliver’s thing.” (Oliver Wilson's book currently on display at Urbis)
This will look amazing framed and yes, before anyone asks; I have cut one out and tried to make the model. It works!
