In the story of California's psychedelic underground, Fuzz have come to embody the unrulier instinct within Ty Segall's orbit - the place where riffs are allowed to mutate, shed skin, and then return even louder. Formed out of late-night jams in a cramped San Francisco garage, the trio of Segall, Charles Moothart and Chad Ubovich forged a sound that veered from Sabbath-born heft to scorched psych improvisation, always anchored in a kind of feral precision. On Fuzz's Fourth Dream, that early volatility reappears in raw negatives and half-developed ideas. 'This Time I've Got a Reason' barrels forward with clipped urgency; 'Fourth Dream' feels like a blueprint catching fire mid-drawing. The demos darken the edges - grainier, stranger but charged with the same momentum - underscoring a band whose chaos became its organising principle, and whose rough drafts still hum with the thrill of discovery.
