Ludwig van Beethoven:   Symphony No.5 in c minor, op.67

absolute first pressing 5LP album set of the 1937 recording!!! Was released on Italian HIS MASTERS VOICE (La Vove del Padrone) label - very rare and unseen on ebay!! The five records carry the catalognumbers DB3328 - DB3332, and on the album spine it states "Serie No.133".  The matrixnumbers may be the original His Masters Voice from the UK, but I am no expert on 78s. Matrixnumbers are:

  • Disc 1:    2RA 2335 3    and  2RA 2336 3A
  • Disc 2:    2RA 2337 2A  and  2RA 2338 4A
  • Disc 3:    2RA 2339 IIIA  and  2RA 2340 I
  • Disc 4:    2RA 2341 3    and  2RA 2342 2
  • Disc 5:    2RA 2343 2A 

Note that on the last side of disc 5 has no music, but a beautiful huge "HIS MASTERS VOICE" logo imprint!!

The album sleeve comes with the gold imprint and the five pockets for the records are stitched - excellent!! The discs are all very well taken care of in NEARMINT condition with clean labels and just one or two spindlemarks and no visible deep scratches - surely this set will play beautifully, especially if you own e.g. Classic SPU-Mono GM/65 for 78s records... I have not and will not clean these discs as I am no expert with 78s, but one can easily see that this is a fantastic set and the discs seems to have been hardly played!! Don't miss...
