Description

Up for auction here at NO RESERVE is "Trying To Survive" backed with "Bump Your Thang" by Harvey Scales & The Seven Seas on the Magic Touch Records label. Easily his most desirable record, and one of the toughest to find as well.  The record is NM-, in beautiful condition. Vinyl has been cleaned on a VPI. The labels are NM-, with only very light play wear. Check my other auctions this week, as this is one of nine titles on the Magic Touch Records label, as well as several others by the great Harvey Scales.

All the records I am selling this week come from a massive collection from a local DJ that passed away this summer. He started collecting soul 45s around 1964 and collected them up until his health prevented him from doing it anymore. When we boxed them up, they filled 35 boxes that are 2 feet long each. At the time of this listing, I have only had a chance to go through 6 of those boxes. These are the most valuable records from those boxes, but the rest of the records are all very good. There is almost no garbage. Items that he bought new, still look new. When he bought used records, he sometimes had to buy records in lesser condition, but only if they played OK. They are not all mint, but he was also not a low end junk collector.

The rest of the collection will be sold through Bullseye Records in Milwaukee, WI in the coming months.

Make sure you save me to your list of favorite sellers. Because there's going to be a lot more great records sold here (and at the store) for the rest of this year (and maybe beyond).

PLEASE Don't ask.....

1. I will not end auctions early....all auctions will go until their natural conclusion. If you really want it, put in a winning bid.

2. I will not play you sound clips. I am pretty busy with the auction and helping the family settle the estate by selling around 20,000 records, so I'm sure you understand that dropping everything so you can hear what one of them sound like is a little ridiculous. I have graded them so that you can expect what they will sound like. See my feedback and rest easy.

3. There are some countries I will not ship to because of problems in the past. I will not make exceptions.

a bit about me and shipping

In addition to my great feedback on this account, please check out the 13 years worth of great feedback on my other account mikeslps. I just started a new account to keep business and personal transaction separate. Be sure to view my other auctions for more great records this week. Feel free to email with any questions.

Multiple item wins will be combined to save you some money on shipping. I accept Paypal. Email with any questions (preferably before the last day). All records are placed in new sleeves and are removed from the jacket to prevent seam splits and are packed with care in dedicated record mailers with sturdy cardboard inserts. I spend a lot of money on shipping supplies to make sure your records reach you in the condition that they leave me.

SHIPPING CHARGES for North America

Shipping is $3.00 via Media Mail with delivery confirmation in the US or $7 for Priority Mail in the US and First Class International to Canada. Multiple items will be combined for shipping and save you a little money.

SHIPPING for the rest of the World

First Class International service starts at $7.00 for a single. Multiple winnings will be combined and save you money. Feel free to email for a quote for multiple items. Once a package goes over 4 lbs , the package can no longer be shipped First Class. It automatically becomes Priority Mail.  If you would like an estimate for multiple 45s, just shoot me an email or you can use the shipping calculator at www.usps.com.

BECAUSE of the HIGH VALUE

Any packages valued at over $200 will be shipped via Priority Mail so that they can be tracked and you must have a "confirmed address" through Paypal (If you don't know what that means, contact Paypal or me.....I'll be happy to help). Don't assume you can find a way around this. If you pay by Paypal for an order worth $500 and your address is listed as unconfirmed with Paypal, I will simply refund your money and sell the records at the local sale. It is in EVERYONE's best interest to get their address confirmed through Paypal. Priority Mail is around $20 for a single. I know, it seems like a lot, but it's to protect you and me. Keep in mind that shipping for 5 or 6 is only around $30 (they don't add that much weight), so just buy a few more and suddenly shipping doesn't seem so bad.
