FUNK FACTORY s/t MICHAL URBANIAK FUNK lp M-
1975/USA/Atco SD 36-116….. here’s a clean original pressing of this rare Jazz vocal lp. The cover is in nice VG+ condition with light shelf wear, there is a small saw cut lower left side, otherwise solid and clean with no splits or other issues. The vinyl is in M- condition with a couple of super light inaudible scuffs, looks and plays clean. Clean labels show no spindle wear. Nice copy! Funk Factory is Funk Fusion band that was headed up by Polish music legends Michal Urbaniak and Urszula Dudziak, plus a heavy dose of American studio musicians. These included drummers like Steve Gadd and Gerald Brown, who both kept up the beat throughout the record on different tracks. Along with these American players, there were even more European cats, who meshed perfectly with their American Funk brothers and sisters. Throughout the whole record, there is a great fusion of Funk, Soul, and even a hint of some psychedelic sounds, as the keyboards are for lack of a better word “trippy”. This track is the shining star, as you might notice that the Dust Brothers pretty much killed it when they used this on the Beastie Boys Paul’s Boutique record. This track was sampled on “Car Thief”. On the whole, the record is definitely a keeper, with all sorts of great samples to be picked clean.

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: between VG++ and M- , still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
