Description
Heres a rather tasty Progressive ~Folky Lp That came out in the UK in 1971 on Pegasus Label PEG 8 `Musically Its very tricky to describe - The line up contains 2 girl violinists / vocalists and a cello and harmonium for a start - It is very complex with interweaving melodies - strange lyrics inspired by Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast Novels I believe - I can't think of hardly any other albums that sound like it - The lighter parts of COMUS perhaps - The Tracks are Gone with the Mouse. A Tiny Book. Another Nail Shoes and Ships The Nothing Song, Me and My Kite and Just Anyone. The Band were from Exeter University which is not far away- which may explain why The few copies that there are appear in the South West. This is I think A great LP . Its Sleeve is in almost Excellent condition with just slight Rim wear - The sleeve has a textured finish which tends to rub when put in and out of Shelves. And Very slight wear on the sleeve edges - The sleeve is quite a delicate at the best of times The Disc is pretty much excellent - with just very faint surface lines caused by taking the LP from the inner sleeve. All in all classy item- There has recently been a great reissue overseeen by Tony Durrant - who is the man behind this band - which I heartily reccommend. So there we are - No reserve on this Thanks for reading while I bang on about obscure music like this. And Good luck with your bids.
