The richness of the songs is now much more perceptible with the vivid sound and all lyrics (all pretty remarkable in a gothic romantic Browning or Wordsworth's style) as an additional company.

This lost gem of psychedelic chamber folk must be cheerfully recommended to all folk and psych-folk lovers and if you listen Espers or Feathers (especially the first) you'll note a handful of similarities in sound and ethereal and moony atmosphere. I don't know why but I also recall a little of Cocteau Twins, maybe because of the three delightful female voices, unfortunately only doing backing vocals. Yet I've always appreciated Tony Durant's tender and sober voice - even his acoustic guitar strumming is splendid, giving to it a minstrel effect.

The long tracks are exhilarating with ever changing structures and unpredictable ways; the shorter tracks are full of pastoral delicacies, like resting in bed until late, fluffy kittens and british wolfhounds barking outside the country house. Folk Essential!   WHY NOT CHECK OUT MY EBAY STORE -
