Description

This is an auction for a copy of the Classic second Lp by Free simply entitled "Free" released in the Uk on Island records catalogue number ILPS 9104. This is a First press on Pink Island label with the Matrix number ILPS 9104 A P#4307 1A and ILPS 9104 B #4308 B. The Lp also has "Bell Sound" stamped in the dead wax on both sides.

The Heavy first press Vinyl looks has retained a nice sheen and  i am happy to grade it as visually  being in Excellent condition . There are one or two very light superficial marks . I have listened to the entire Lp at high volume and it plays through well. The music is clear and vibrant with plenty of punch and plays through without any skips or jumps. There is some light background noise and the odd pop, which is slightly more prolific on Side 2, but i happy to grade the audio as Very Good++.

The first press heavy textured labels are in Very Good++ condition with some light spindle marks visible.

The first press E.J. Day Gatefold cover is in Very Good+ condition with some storage wear to the spine and edges and some light ringwear. The spine is still readable and the inside of the gatefold looks excellent when opened up.

Overall a Very Nice copy of this classic LP

I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk at a cost of  £3.00. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 which includes international signed for delivery as mandatory . Please note that i combine shipping for multiple buys. Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but again this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
