Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my psychedelic and progressive music records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare U.K. / Singapore pressing of Freedom – Through the Years on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 049. As this pressing has the UK matrix stampers, this could be a UK export pressing for Singapore.
The record is in VG to VG+ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and there are a couple visible, but non sounding marks and scuffs. The labels are in VG condition, there are some spindle marks, there is a little discolouring on the outer edge of the labels on both sides, there is some light wear around the spindle hole on both sides and some tracks are marked with an “X”.
The cover is in VG condition, there is some light water damage in the lower left hand corner on the front and the lower right corner on the back, making the cover a bit wavy. The inside of the gatefold has some water damage as well, leaving a very light brown stain in the affected area. There is also tiny sticker tear mark just next to the Vertigo logo on the front. Besides mentioned damages, this cover looks very presentable to me.
Although not in a dream Mint condition, this rare UK / Singapore Swirl Vertigo pressing of Freedom’s Through the Years album in decent condition. I really think that this record was pressed in the UK, as it has the UK matrix coding (and even Phonogram’s UK country code, 420) and there is a rubber stamp mark reading “EXPORT” on the inside of the front jacket. Even as a UK domestic Swirl pressing this album is very hard to locate, making this a unique pressing. So, if you are a big fan of Freedom, a Swirl Vertigo collector or a prog rock music fan, this is a real nice addition to your collection! Happy Bidding!
