Description

"Downbeat" Radio Show Transcription Disc Produced By The Armed Forces Radio Service.  Two Complete 15 Minute Programs On This 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm Disc.   This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!

Both programs feature guest Freddy Martin.  Both programs include excellent interviews of Freddy Martin with interesting information about his career and orchestra. All songs on both shows are by Freddy Martin & HIs Orchestra.   The music is implied as perhaps being live but is most likely recorded music

"Downbeat" radio program #212 starring Freddy Martin.  Songs include "I've Got Spurs That Jingle Jangle Jingle" vocal by male group, "Grieg Piano Concerto", "Rancho Pillow" vocal by The Quartet, "Serenade For Strings".  15 minutes

"Downbeat" radio program #213 starring Freddy Martin.  Songs include "I Love You" vocal Artie Wayne, "Hungarian Rhapsody", "I Couldn't Sleep A Wink Last Night" vocal Artie Wayne, "Tchaikovsky Concerto".  15 minutes

Disc is in EX- condition with EX-/EX sound

Due to their size, 16 inch discs may not play on standard turntables.   For $10 I can make a professional CD dub of the disc for the buyer
