FREDDIE ROACH “Mo’ Greens Please” RVG, P, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4128 Mono Vinyl
This is 1963, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped, Laminated Cover, “P” pressing of FREDDIE ROACH’s “Mo’ Greens Please” on the "New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4128. Musicians include Freddie Roach, Conrad Lester, Kenny Burrell, Eddie Wright, Clarence Johnston.
VINYL plays well with consistent low to medium level surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks (some loud, some repeating as end of #1, Side 2). But ensemble sections are clear, very dynamic and very strong. No skips. Good gloss. Many hairline marks, 4 or so feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in very good shape. Some peeling, Corners worn. Seams and spine in very good shape. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows some wear. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
