FREDDIE REDD QUARTET “The Connection” RVG, P, DG, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4027 Stereo Vinyl
This is the “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, Laminated Cover, “P” pressing of FREDDIE REDD QUARTET “The Connection” on the Deep Groove (one side) “New York” labels of BLP 4027. Musicians include Freddie Redd – piano, Jackie McLean – alto, saxophone, Michael Mattos – bass, Larry Ritchie – drums.
VINYL plays very well, cleanly overall with pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Very Good gloss. Many hairline marks, a couple feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, with spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Corners worn. Spines and seam show cracking, splits at ends, see photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows writing, stains wear. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER. Record photographed before final clear rinse/dry.
