Condizioni : copertina dalla leggera laminatura su entrambi i lati in grande stato, giusto un lieve accenno di ring wear, NEAR MINT / vinile anch'esso in grande stato con pochissimi segnetti che non condizionano affatto il perfetto ascolto, NEAR MINT

Condition : cover from the lightweight lamination on both sides is in great shape, just a slight hint of ring wear, NEAR MINT / equally vinyl is in great condition with very few minor scuffs which do not affect at all the perfect listening, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : difficilmente mi capita di rimanere sorpreso dopo l’ascolto di una colonna sonora. Non parlo di qualità musicale che spesso delizia i miei orecchi ma piuttosto di un qualcosa che possa stordirmi intellettualmente. François de Roubaix è riuscito in questa impresa! La sua incommensurabile genialità che tutto scarta e tutto afferra nel mondo dei suoni, il suo domestico studio di registrazione dove sperimentava ogni possibile ed impossibile fusione fra generi musicali antagonisti riuscendo spesso a forgiarli in un amalgama sorprendente, l’intelligenza creativa che lo poneva al di sopra della trama del film liberandosi così da ogni condizionamento esterno per poi fare centro perfetto nella realizzazione della sua colonna sonora, si avvertono fortemente in questo follemente bello e del tutto insolito album. Indefinibili o quasi le caratteristiche della maggioranza delle tracce dato che tutto è mischiato in un cocktail potente di suoni e strumenti musicali dove, ad esempio, il moog gioca con il violino o il pop sinfonico s'incrocia con il jazz. Inoltre è ben avvertibile un generale carattere psichedelico non tanto in pomposi effetti sonori che per inciso non ci sono quanto piuttosto nel più profondo significato della composizione o in altre parole nell'animo della musica. Ogni brano dell'album meriterebbe una breve descrizione ma la sua fama è così grande  che, a mio avviso, tutti i collezionisti di colonne sonore dovrebbero già conoscerlo bene, magari semplicemente attraverso la versione in cd o la ristampa in vinile. Mi limito perciò a ricordare soltanto pochi brani. "Répétition" (a3) con inizio e fine scossi da un bel "drumming" ed una scatenata cavalcata ritmica al suono di tastiere, effetti wah wah e grandi vocalizzi femminili che incontrano in un secondo momento un coro maschile, "Audition" (a4) con belle improvvisazioni dell'organo Hammond e il valido supporto di basso e batteria, "Judo" (a6) con speciali effetti percussivi, vene di musica Latina e bizzarri vocalizzi che al tempo stesso esprimono dolore fisico e comicità, "Yacht" (a7), un blues violento e rapido cantato in Inglese da de Funès figlio, "Ballet de rêve" (a8) rinchiuso in atmosfere surreali con ritmi sia trascinanti che lenti che lo circondano e lo splendido canto di un uomo e una donna. Forse già troppe le mie citazioni ? D’accordo mi fermo ma non prima di aver sottolineato "Piti-Piti-Pas" (b1) costruita su vocalizzi femminili che ripetono il titolo del brano ma con larga apertura a pianoforte, Hammond, flauto e batteria; è facile immaginare l’esplosività di questa miscela sonora!

Notes : unlikely I happen to be surprised after listening to a soundtrack. Not talking about musical quality that often delights my ears but rather something that can stun me intellectually. François de Roubaix has succeeded in this venture! His incommensurable genius that everything discards and catches from the world of sounds, his home recording studio where he experienced every possible and impossible fusion of musical antagonist genres often being able to forge them into an amazing amalgam, creative intelligence which placed him over the film plot thus removing from all external influences and then take the bull by the horns perfectly achieving the soundtrack, are felt strongly in this insanely beautiful and highly unusual album. Indefinable or nearly the characteristics of the majority of the tracks since everything is mixed in a powerful cocktail of sounds and musical instruments wherein for example the moog plays with violin or the symphonic pop intersects with jazz. Furthermore it is very noticeable an overall psychedelic character not so much in bombastic sound effects which incidentally are not there but rather in the deeper meaning of the composition or in other words in the soul of the music. Every tune on the album would deserve a small description but its fame is so great that I think all soundtrack collectors should know very well it even through the version on CD or vinyl reissue. I will therefore limit myself to mention only a few tracks. "Répétition" (a3) with start and end shaken by an incisive drumming and a wild rhythmic ride to the sonorities of keyboards, wah wah effects and great female vocalizations meeting later a male chorus, "Audition" (a4) with beautiful Hammond improvisations and the valuable support of bass and drums, "Judo" (a6) with special percussive effects, veins of Latin music and weird vocalizations at the same time expressing physical pain and comic sense, "Yacht" (a7) a fast and violent blues sung in English by de Funès son, "Ballet de rêve" (a8) enclosed in surreal atmosphere with both hectic or slow rhythm surrounding it and the beautiful singing of a man and a woman. Maybe already too many of my quotes ? Okay I'll stop, but not before having underlined "Piti-Piti-Pas" (b1) constructed on female vocalizations repeating the track title but with a large opening to piano, Hammond, flute and drums, it is easy to imagine the explosiveness of this sound mixture !
