FRANK ZAPPA Ratas Calientes (Hot Rats) ARGENTINA REPRISE LP Stereo 112.927!

 

Original Argentina LP with gatefold sleeve, with the original ‘Estereofonico’ (Stereo) sticker on the back sleeve, comes with the original period plain white inner sleeve, released in 19?? (Estimated release date late 60s/early 70s). Catalogue number: 112.927.

Sleeve: GOOD+ CONDITION

Overall a solid sleeve, structural sound but with faults, displays seem splits on/along the top front and back gatefold sleeve and along the front right hand side sleeve, signs of splitting and sleeve edge wear on/along the spine’s edge resulting in some sleeve print damage/missing, some light touches of superficial ring wear and some light soiling in places are evident. Middle gatefold sleeve’s appearance is VERY GOOD+. Stereo sticker is intact. Predominately suffers from edge wear/seem splits, however sleeve displays no major rips/tears, no writing and no deep lined sleeve creases. Inner plain white sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition, displays some light corner creases, but with no seem splits.

 

Record: VERY GOOD CONDITION (*Plays mostly EXCELLENT)

Record labels are EXCELLENT, clean and unmarked, displays some light spindle trail sheen on both sides, with a touch of spindle edge hole wear on the A-side. Playing surfaces/Matrix areas display a very good lustre on both sides, with some smooth, soft light surface scuffs/marks on both sides, nothing heavy, too prominent or that you can feel and not excessive in quantity, in addition there are some barely visible feather light hairline/fine line surface scuffs, however these mainly show up/appear when angled and viewed closely under strong bright light. Visually graded VERY GOOD condition. *Both sides play mostly EXCELLENT emitting mainly a good clean sound with no loud or noticeable background crackles or clicks, does have some occasional low level background surface noise in a few places, mainly evident on the run in grooves, between tracks and in some of the very quiet passages. Overall an unusual Zappa album from my own personal collection, bought years ago for the novelty value.
