FRANK ZAPPA

Zappa in New York

Rare withdrawn UK 1st pressing Double LP with Punky’s Whips

COVER : EX CONDITION (slightly ruffled)

RECORDS : NMINT

From my own pristine Nr Mint collection of rare 1960's & 70's Prog/Psych/Rock & Folk... you are bidding on a rare original withdrawn UK 1st pressing LP with Punky’s Whips on the DiscReet label K69204 (The matrix numbers are first pressing - A1/B1/C1/D1.). Very few copies of these exist and (in this format and condition) it is perhaps the rareist of all FZ’s officially released LPs.

It has Punky’s Whips listed on the rear cover and on the label. The track appears on Side 1 of the LP. The inner gatefold has the original photo of Terry Bozio & Punky Meadows. The original text and lyrics (which were all missing from later pressings) are all there.

This is the LP as FZ intended it to be released - before the lawyers advised it to be withdrawn and repackaged without the PW’s track and references.

What makes this example even rarer is its astounding records condition throughout!!! It is in stunning ***EX/Mint*** condition! - the best example I have ever seen!! The double vinyl is in visually and aurally stunning condition and shine with that 'just pressed' glass-like sheen, it really looks as if this record came off the press yesterday!!!
