Flash - "In the Can" (Sovereign 1972) Unissued LP Cover SVNA 7255<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
This is the second “Flash” album after Tony Kaye decided to quit and formed the "Christian-progressive" band Badger. Flash then decided to continue without a keyboard-player. Peter Banks' guitar then became the most apparent instrument in the band's sound. This resulted in a slightly rougher, more rocking sound. However, the song writing was good and the band still sounds fresh and energetic. Most of the tracks on the album are long and complex, and "Lifetime" and "Black and White" are probably the best ones. Great progressive rock tracks with lots of time-changes and energy. Peter Banks' guitar playing sounds inspired and powerful all the way through the album.
This is the scrapped original sleeve of which only a small batch were manufactured before being binned. In the March 2014 issue of Record Collector, David Watkinson a very well-known Yes collector stated that 10 years ago he had managed to obtain one from the Yes management team. For the Yes/Flash/Peter Banks completest this original sleeve design would be the money shot. There are to date only two known copies remaining, this one and David’s. The valuation for the sleeve alone was £100+.
The LP is in Excellent condition and the Sleeve is Very Good to Excellent.
Please Note that the track listing on the sleeve is different to the order and track listing on the vinyl.ie;
