Title: Felix Ayo/violin – J.S.Bach/6 Sonate & Partite for Violin Solo

Original 2 LP box set on PHILIPS, 6770 950. Made in Holland ( there is no German pressing ), original 70ies first pressing on the blue stereo label. Contains a recordsized gatefold-insert in English, French and German. Beautiful box with golden lettering on the front.

At the time of the recording F.Ayo was violinist with the Quartetto Beethoven di Roma and he was professor of violin studies at the Conservatoire of Santa Cecilia, Italy. He performs on a Gennaro Gagliano violin made in Naples in 1768. This recording was planned in Japan and it was recorded by a Japanese Philips recording team in December 1974 at AXON studio, Italy. Outstanding performance, recording and pressing. Highly praised among musiclovers and collectors of audiophile records.

Condition: both records look and play in mint-. The box has intact seams/spines, front & back are absoutely fine; overall mint-. The booklet is in mint-.

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record under a strong light

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg.

• cleaned records are stored in a new deluxe innersleeve and they are placed in a new PVC protection-sleeve !
