I remember picking this one up by the counter at the
first Zia Records at (if memory serves) 19th & Indian School
in Phoenix not long after moving there in the fall of '81.
Can't remember if I'd seen the band by then, but most likely
I had, as I think they opened (along with JFA) for the Alleycats
at the first show I ever caught at the Mad Gardens in late August ...
Like any of that matters, anyway.
What does matter, of course, is the record at hand -- the original
pressing of one of the most notorious punk records the U.S.
ever produced. (The second pressing, on Phoenix' Placebo label,
is somewhat easier to find, but those don't exactly grow on trees, either.)
Just gave the record a spin on my trusty old Pioneer PL-516 -- the A-sde
("Jesus" & "Stop You're Killing Me") sounds flawless. For some reason, there's
noticeable crackling for the first few seconds of the B-side ("Avon Lady").
The sleeve shows general wear on front & back.
No lyrics sheet, dammit. I certainly had it at one time, but I guess
things happen over the course of a quarter-century. *sigh*
