FAIRPORT CONVENTION : RARE TOUR SAMPLER LP : ISLAND RECORDS
This auction provides you with an opportunity to own the very rare Fairport Convention radio sampler LP produced by Island records. Only 500 of these albums were pressed and distributed on the Island Pink Boarder label,
Cat No 1SS.
Produced, just prior to the bands 1975 UK tour, the sampler featured a wide range of Fairport’s repertoire.
Tracks featured :
Side One : Mr Lacey/Who Knows Where The Time Goes/ The Lark in the Morning-Rakish Paddy-Foxhunters Jig-Toss the Feathers/Walk Awhile/John Lee/Rosie.
Side Two : The Brilliancy Medley and Cherokee Shuffle/Whispering Grass/Sir B Mackenzie/Rising for the Moon/White Dress.
The sleeve has no tears although does have very minor scuffing on one edge and slight marks from raking in storage from a local radio station, overall it is graded as Very Good. The record shows hardly any surface marks and is graded as excellent.
This is a very rare piece, which all Fairport Convention fans will want to own.
