Description

Available here is an original 7" demo single by the Faces - Maybe I’m Amazed / Oh Lord I’m Browned Off. Issued in the US by Warner Bros Records in 1971 (but undated), it bears the catalogue number BUY 38.

History - Rather rare early Faces demo single and a studio recording of Paul McCartney’s, Maybe I’m Amazed and not the live version which featured on the band’s 1971 second album, Long Player. Probably Ronnie Lane singing at the start, although Stewart certainly comes in for the bulk of the song. By contrast, Oh Lord I’m Browned Off is an excellent frantic and discordant blues instrumental.

Record Condition - Very Good - The disc is bright and clean, with a single small edge mark but no worrying scratches. I’ve listened to both sides of the record and can confirm that there is no jumping, sticking or clicking and virtually no background crackle present. Replacement spindle in the record centre.

Sleeve Condition - Very Good - Presumably the original sleeve but a simple plain white affair with light wear. Large pictures of both sides of the disc and sleeve are available on request.
