Description
The complete 1st UK pressing of Pink Floyd The Dark Side if the Moon Vinyl LP released in March, 1973.
Solid blue 1st press labels with a 'Midnight Blue' tint sleeve. Matrix Numbers A2,B2.
The vinyl is glossy and bright with a deep-sheen throughout. It has some light marks, wispy hairlines and sleeve removal marks and is a really nice example of this highly sought after LP.
The Labels look great with no spider trails. There is a very slight 'nick' to the label on side 1 ( see photos).
Visually Graded as Excellent +.
There is some light background noise and static during some of the quieter moments of the Album which is very common with this record. Mainly at the start and end of both sides but also during the intro to 'Us and Them', but this does not overpower the overall sound quality and the Album still sounds great.
With some parts of the record rated VG and some better than Excellent, it certainly is a safe Very Good+ rating on playback. There are no skips or jumps.
The Record sleeve has the round purple title sticker on the front which is the 1st version 68mm larger sticker before being reduced in size for later pressings.
There is no factory skip at the start of 'Money' on side 2.
The set is complete with all inserts - both posters, both postcard stickers and the original black poly-lined inner sleeve.
The two postcard stickers are 1st press 'Crack Back FasPrint' version.
The black die-cut inner has the patent numbers and 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' printed on it.
The 'midnight blue' tinted sleeve with large purple sticker grades as Very Good+ with some wear to the corners and some minor. ring wear. The inside of the cover looks good and the spine is fully intact.
Both posters have no tears, folds, or pin holes. The Blue Pyramid poster looks Near Mint and theG roup poster is rated Excellent with some minor creasing.
Both postcard stickers are in a Excellent Condition with just a minor crease on one of them . (see photos)
The black poly-lined inner has some creasing the lining is fully intact and is in Very Good + Condition overall.
