"Burning Love Records"
Item: "Roustabout" 1964 SILVER STEREO Pressing, the Rarest of the RARE!
" PicCatalog #: LSP-2999
Condition Check: Mint/Mint
Date of Issue: 1964
Today's Auctions: I will continue today with one of the nicest Elvis record collections I have ever seen, this collection is on Consignment from a collector who was very careful about condition so most of what you will see is mint. Today features some great original soundtracks, starting with the fabulous SILVER STEREO "Roustabout" and ending with a STILL SEALED MONO CLAMBAKE and some great other mint 60's soundtracks in between. Oh, I also have up the very RARE "Double Trouble/Trouble Double" that has cometo the forefront as one of the hardest of all mid-60's albums. Great items, one and all! The owner of these records understands the significance of these records and says start them at $9.99, he is that confident in their rarity and value! This record requires insurance and tracking!
A Closer Look At the Item: In 1963 RCA went to a new label for their Stereo albums, they dropped the living stereo at the bottom of the record label and replaced it with STEREO in large silver letters, otherwise the label was the same (Still had RCA Victor in Silver color). Today these are known as the Silver Stereo records. A few of the Silver Stereo are common, Gold Records Volume 3, Fun in Acapulco and Kissin Cousins. However, there are some others that are very very rare, in fact are some of the rarest label variations in existance today. One of these is "Roustabout". It was the last LP that would be released on the Silver Stereo label, but it would 0nly have one short pressing out of one plant, Hollywood. The other two plants would produce the new white top Stereo. The pressing numbers on this silver stereo were incredibly low which has left us with a awesome collectable all these years later. This is that SILVER STEREO rarity and perfect is the only way to describe it. The record has stunning gloss and sheen, cannot see any imperfections on it, sorry about flash glare in label pictures. Just as good as it gets. The cover is perfect as well, still tightly encased in its original shrink wrap, just a beautiful album, this one is valued at $600 and if ever there was one that deserved that kind of price, this is it. These rare issue Elvis will just continue to grow in value and demand in this kind of shape. Awesome find!

Rating Guide:
Mint (M): Perfect in every way, looks to have never been played, should have that look just as it did when you pulled the record from the new cover at the time of original purchase.
Mint Minus (M-): A nearly perfect record and cover. This item should show no readily visible signs of wear, covers and sleeves should have no more than nearly invisible rings or other signs of slight wear and vinyl should still be completely glossy and shiney, just the very lightest hint of wear if it is tilted to very bright light.
Very Good Plus (VG+): This record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled carefully by the previous owner. Record surfaces will show some light signs of paper scuffing or light scratches, that don't affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect sound are OK. This disc should still contain much of its original luster and sheen. The covers and picture sleeves should also be in very nice shape, they may have light ring wear or other signs of wear, may have a small cut out hole, indention or stamping present. Also there can be non obvious writing on the paper goods.
Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in the VG+ record and cover will be present but more pronounced in the VG item. Surface noise will be evident, although the record should play through without skipping or repeating. Groove wear will now be noticable, scuffing and light scratching will be appearent, a scratch now can be felt with a fingernail. Labels will be marred with tape or tape residue, stickers or descret writing. The same will be true for the LP cover or picture sleeve.
Good (G): Good does not mean bad! A record in good condition should be placed on a turntable and it should play through, all though the surface noise will be evident. A cover or picture sleeve will have seam splitting, especially on the bottom seam or spine. Also there will be noticable ring wear caused by the presence of the record. The defects will start to overwhere this item.
Fair (F) or Poor (P): This record will be cracked, badly warped, and will not play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeeve or LP cover will show lots and lots of wear, the seams will be split on all three sides barely able to hold the record. This item will appear near valueless, unless of course it is a rarity that may not be seen again.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
