No compounds have been used to shine up the surface. No chemicals at all have been used to clean the grooves.
The principle value of this record is its historical significance and rarity. It is almost 60 years old and that is apparent from the photographs . It spent several of the past years under glass, its frame screwed securely into wall studs on public display on Union Street in Memphis (with no sun on it but the label). Display will doubtless be its future, as well. But play it you can. It’s been mine since 1980, which seems like a short time in Elvis years.

Elvis's microphone is NOT included, neither is the shirt he wore in the photographs. The microphone is probably on display at today's SUN Studios- and the shirt? Who knows, maybe in a hamper at Graceland.
I have another Elvis SUN 78 that was listed soon before this one, so don't be surprised if all this sounds somehow familiar. They are separate discs.
