Description
A few months ago I bought a suitcase at an Estate Sale. It was a cool looking one from the 50' or 60's, set it aside and didn't look in to it carefully until a few days ago and lo and behold there it was! A 45 Sun Record, Elvis Presley singing my favorite "That's All Right" and "Blue Moon of Kentucky". It was tucked away in the lingerie pocket of the suitcase for no telling how long. It's in Very Good condition and was in this simple sleeve marked 98 cents. After careful inspection we could only find very light scratches on both sides, the kind of scratches a record can get from pulling in and out of the sleeve. It's obviously been played a lot by looking at the wear in the center. We hurried to a friends house where they have a turn table and check to see how it played......it was beautiful. Very clear and crisp. Not a whole lot of that scratchy sound you usually hear from old records. We couldn't help but dance. You would of done the same, really.
There are 3 push marks. From what I understand on the push marks....this is a pretty good indicator for collectors in the know. It makes it easier to distinguish if this was actually made in Memphis or shipped off to California to be produced. The push marks are located on both sides. On the Blue Moon of Kentucky side one is before the S in Sun and one is after the N in Sun and the third is covering the OF K in Blue Moon of Kentucky. I could not get them to show up in the pictures. On the "That's All Right" side one is other the HT in Right, one is on the N in Sun and the last one is very faint just above MU by Wabash Mu to the left. I think the original owner truly loved this 45 and took very good care of it and listened to it a lot.

For a hoot I added a couple of photos of the suitcase it was found in. It's a shame to separate the two, they've been together for along time. If the winning bidder wants the case, we'll throw that in the deal. Oh yes, and we found the numbers on the dead wax. On the Blue Moon side it reads U 129 45 72 and on the That's All Right side it reads U 128 45 72. Hope this helps and once again please feel free to ask questions.
