Yes, you can really believe your eyes.   Read on..... This auction is for the  Elvis "Speedway" original soundtrack album in the extremely rare Mono format.  Hard to find in any condition, this item is sealed in the original shrink wrap and complete w/  sticker advising of bonus Elvis photo inside.  My research shows the Speedway album was released in May of 1968 in both mono and stereo versions. During this time of transition from mono to stereo, mono albums were specially ordered for use on AM radio stations and therefore only a limited number were needed.  (Some sources say only about 300 of the Speedway mono version were produced.)   In addition, and adding to the appeal to collectors, this was the last album Elvis made in the mono format.  This treasure is in exceptional condition.  Upon extremely close inspection, I note these minor issues only.  (And I obviously can't comment on the record itself.) The shrink wrap is intact, except for a 2" split on the lower left edge.  That corner has a bit of a bump, a small amount of paper loss, and a 1/4" split to the album cover itself.  It can not be sure if that goes beyond the surface.  On the back, there is a vertical ripple to the cover in the area where the photos of Elvis in the red jacket are featured. Again, can't tell more, as it is under the shrink wrap.  The shrink wrap itself has some light scuffs noticeable when held to bright light.  Am selling for an avid collector, who is looking to downsize.  He states the item has been in his possession for 25 plus years and carefully stored.    Please ask questions, as needed, as I normally do not sell items of this nature and rarity.  Don't miss this once-in-a- lifetime opportunity.
