Elvis Presley - Rockin' With Elvis Volume 1 EP  Tutti Frutti / Blue Suede Shoes / Hound Dog / Don't Be Cruel  ORIGINAL 1956 Belgian  issue 45 rpm EP RCA 75.524 45-EP  Condition is overall EXCELLENT, Near Mint-.  The disc plays superbly, with only the tiniest bit of almost inaudible run in crackle at the beginning of each song, lasting perhaps 1/2 second.  The music plays loud & clear, with NO POPS, NO SKIPS, NO intrusive surface noise whatsoever.  This is an excellent conditon vinyl, with lots of gloss, luster & shine.  A couple of light hairlines  or paper scuffs may be seen under bright light, but the vinyl minimally grades as VG+ condition, and plays faultlessly. Superb condition for a 50+ year old original vinyl disc.  The labels are clean.

I have presented numerous photo's to illustrate the discs condition.  What may appear in the second picture to be yellowing on the rear of sleeve is not nearly as pronounced when viewed in person.  This is a function of the scanner that I have used, which tends to shadow the lighter tones on a scan , and make them appear to be off color.  I took a digital camera picture, this much more accurately reveals the cleanliness of the sleeve.  Any questions at all regarding the condition of the disc or sleeve, just ask.  I assure all viewers that this record & sleeve are in wonderful, clean , unblemished condition.  Any questions, please ask.  I am happy to answer any inquiries regarding the discs condition, provenance, etc..  I purchased this in Europe during the 1990's, it is one of my favorite picture sleeves I have ever seen, certainly one of the the nicest fifties records I have ever seen.  And I've seen a few.

On offer here is one of the scarcest Elvis Presley vinyl releases ever issued.  This earliest European EP is almost impossible to find, and is practically undocumented. Hours spent on line attempting to discover information on it only turned up one reference, which is printed below:

" I can't find any information (on the internet) about an old Elvis EP I have.
Maybe you can help me out? "

I suspect it to be an EP from 1956, because the number written on the backside sleeve at the bottem:
82-20-12-56-M

On the label is written:
Made in Belgium by "DISEL" S.A.

According to the book "Elvis, king of Belgium" by Peter Verbruggen Disel pressed the RCA discs up until the end of 1957 after which they were printed in Germany by Teldec until 1974 when RCA Belgium started to press discs.
The label number sequence indicates it is an EP from 1956 and the only EP that features a picture of Elvis, Scotty, Bill & D.J. on the frontsleeve. Same picture was used for volume 2 but the colour changed.

I have only ever seen this EP offered for sale once before, at Utrecht in the Netherlands with an asking price of 2500 Euro's.  The cover has fantastic laminate & shine, so much more appealing than the flat cardboard used for the USA issued EP, which was the ONLY other EP ever issued showing all the band members on the sleeve.  This is a candidate for the nicest & rarest Elvis EP ever issued anywhere in the world.  A classic photo, 4 all time classic tracks, and a mindblowing design add up to create a singular Elvis collectible.  This may be the only chance to add this vintage 1950's issued EP to your collection.
