Description
Elvis Presley: "Elvis' Christmas Album" (Rca LOC-1035) original mono with gatefold color photo booklet intact. This is the standard for opulent album presentation: in 1957, at the absolute height of Elvis's amazing beginning popularity, Rca put together the ultimate presentation with this gatefold cover containing the excellent photos within. Pictures above: #1-2 front & back covers, #3 mono label (BL/S), #4-12 the entire photo booklet in the order in which they appear (scans I don't have room for: the first 2 inside pages, one of which is an X-mas greeting from Elvis himselvis & 2nd page contains the song titles + inside back cover shows all of his 45 picture-sleeves, EP's & LP's (covers) that were available at that time & in full color. This is the finest package on a recording artist that I've ever seen.
Condition: Strong VG+ (vinyl has minor light scratches, scuffs & mars which should result in minor surface noise). Rest of the package is VG+ except for spine (which has a small hole in middle of spine due to vinyl record breaking through the simulated leather bordering and there are chips to back covers left side of that bordering (see scan #2 above, which is why it's off-center, to illustrate these small chips). There are minor corner dings to all 4 corners & very slight fraying to the seams. There is also writing on front cover, in upper right corner to left of record number (very tiny directly to left of LOC-1035, may not be visible in scan #1 above) is written in black ink pen (I think it's ink): "# 40" so I don't know IF this might have been a radio station's copy or for some other reason someone wrote a file number on cover (hopefully it's visible in scan above, #1). Also, the gold lettering on the spine (LP title) has pretty much faded, but is still visible.
This LP is on consignment & will return to it's owner after running this week (through April 1), so NOW is your chance to bid.
