Description
Released by DJM Records in 1978, this pre-dates Elton John’s Rocket Records releases. It is a boxed set of twelve double A Sides from 1969 to 1975. Please see photo of box for track listing.
A bit of history: from 1973 to 1979 I was Programme Director of a cable radio station (UBN) and this set was given to me by the DJM Promotions Manager. It has been in storage ever since! A loft clearance means it is now for sale. The box has some creasing, shown in photos, but is intact. The records have never been played, and only one has ever been removed from its sleeve, for the photograph you see here.
These sets could be sold complete, or the dealer could sell each disc individually (please see scan of “Notice to dealers.”) I doubt that many survive, and certainly not in “new, old stock” condition, with the records being mint. This really is a unique opportunity for Elton John fans.
