Record: Unplayed. Very rare original 1967 US first pressing of the Electric Prunes “Underground” album on Reprise RS-6262 - original tri-colour label. This was SEALED until 2 days ago. Why did I open it? I tried to sell it as sealed, when someone asked, quite reasonably, how I knew it was an original. I couldn’t answer him/her, so I asked my wife to VERY carefully open it. And guess what! It was an original tri-colour label. OMG, it looks absolutely stunning! 45 years old and PERFECT. You may NEVER see another one. I was almost tempted to keep it!
Cover: Still with shrink wrap. It looks VERY strong. The only very minor fault, and I am being VERY picky, is some VERY minor wear to the top right corner.
History: Released in 1967 this was the Prunes second album, and features mainly original material. It charted in the lower reaches of the Billboard charts. By the time Underground was complete, there had been several more personnel changes. Original drummer Weakley returned to replace Ritter, and Spagnola was replaced on guitar by Mike Gannon, who appears on only two songs.
