1950's Vintage 45 RPM Edith Piaf with ballpoint autograph signed on a cut down 3x5 card, taped to record jacket. Collected by Jan Sargent, late of Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, CA.

This recording of 'Monsieur et Madame' from 1952, is no less beloved by her many enduring fans,in spite of, or perhaps because of Ms. Piaf's early death in 1963. This 45 RPM single is actually an EP, containing 4 songs (Monsieur Et Madame, Mon Ami M'a Donne, Je t'ai Dans La Peau, and Elle A Dit), the record jacket shows some wear from age (75 years old), but is in overall Fair Condition, the vinyl record inside being in good/excellent condition.
Today, some 55 years after Miss Piaf's early death (age 47) fans visit her gravesite in Paris by the thousands each year, with 100,000 fans being present at her 1963 funeral ceremony. Edith Piaf embodied the very soul of the tortured artist, with her unique, romantic song vocalizations. Piaf, nicknamed 'The Little Sparrow, was also called the 'Mistress of Heartbreak and Pain'...
The 'single' 45 record was a primary promotional tool in the record industry throughout most of the 20th century. This Edith Piaf single from the 1950's, bears her signature, as collected in Los Angeles by lesbian groupie Jan Sargent. Edith Piaf's most famous recording, La Vie En Rose (1946) made her famous worldwide.
