Description
Record number 51360.
This 'star' label record is actually one of the most entertaining recordings I've ever heard on Diamond Disc. Sung by comic singer Al Bernard ca. 1924, it predicts what the world would be like in the far future of 1999. It is filled with charming comments, such as "In 1999, although today we ride in style, they'll look back at us and smile." Or "we'll have a lady President in 1999." (Not so shocking a thought today as then!) "These vampy women nowadays are wearing less and less. But they'll be wearing less than less in '99 I reckon."

The flip side is "Tune in on L-O-V-E" sung by Billy Jones, an amusing romantic tune about the then-new radio.
Superb condition with shiny, flawless surfaces. Original sleeve however the sides have been taped.
IMPORTANT NOTE: this can only be played on a Diamond Disc phonograph. Do not play with a needle!
