Description
Up for bid is a somewhat damaged copy of a disc issued by Edison Record company, a Diamond Disc from approximately 1920 though this is a later issue with the paper label. On the L side is Sergei's own composition "Barcarolle, Opus 10," take "B," and on the other is his rendition of Chopin's "Valse in A Flat, Opus 64 No 3," also take "B."
This came with an Edison machine that had the diamond knocked out of the reproducer. From the look of this record, someone may have tried to play this record and damaged it in the middle. It does track through the brown-grooved damaged part, though there is added noise. The other parts are relatively noise-free, though the loud parts show some wear. The Chopin side is relatively clean, though here too the louder parts show some wear. It serves as a good "space-saver" for a collector, allowing time to find a perfect copy later, and it is priced accordingly.
Ask me any questions you may have, look over the photos I have provided, think it over, then bid. Though I have described this record accurately, there is no warranty either expressed or implied: it is being sold "as-is." Thank you for your interest, and good luck bidding.
