Description

Here we have a scarce 1965 live album from blues legend Etta James called Rocks The House. The tracks are :- Something`s Got A Hold On Me/Baby What You Want Me To Do/What I Say/Money/Seven Day Fool/Sweet Little Angel/Ooh Poo Pah Doo/Woke Up This Morning. The laminated front cover is in lovely condition. The only real flaw some minor small edge creases (around half a dozen) at the top edge. The back cover has some dirty marks due to handlng in places (it has a white background) and a red pen mark on the left hand edge where the record comes out,but does not have any creases and is generally in very good condition. The best part is the record itself which is in lovely condition.Holding it up under a strong light I can only four very light marks on side `A` ,two of which are pressing marks, and two on side two.The record does not have the usual tell tale marks around the centre hole,a sure sign of regular playing. The album belonged to my uncle, and he says he only remembers playing a couple of times. It certainly looks in lovely condition. In addition its an early pressing with A2/B1 matrix numbers. Also it still has its original inner which features albums of the day issued by Pye and its associate labels (including Chess). This is also in lovely condition, with no creases or yellowing due to age.All together a nice copy of a hard to find album.
