Armed Forces Radio Service DISC 16" RADIO TRANSCRIPTION DISCS

These transcription discs were either purpose recorded by AFSR or contain compilations from radio programs, commercial transcription discs or - rarely - commercial records. Most of the material was not issued in any other form.

These AFRS Transcriptions were sent to the WWII war theaters overseas for broadcast on military radio stations

These are 16" standard groove 3 mil 33 1/3 rpm discs made from black vinyl for the use in Military Radio Stations.

15 minutes playing time on each side, two sides have a total play time  of 30 minutes.

    Condition: EXCELLENT minus, faint scuffs, dirty needs cleaning. A SUPERB COPY    SHIPPING 16" record:  This record cannot be combined with other records. Shipping shown is for packing between large pieces of corrugated cardboard (has worked well on over 50 such shipments in the past, however, on one shipment overseas, the a record was irreversibly bent). We can also think about shipping the record in a box, which will increase the weight.
