ESPER: Home Grown - Sounds Of Rush LP SEALED SONIC HEAD POT101 musique concrète
CONDITION: purchased for my record store in Chevy Chase, MD and immediately put into storage / record is still sealed and presumed MINT (M) / Cover is MINT (M), shrinkwrap nearly completely intact / for best view, please supersize photo at the very top of this webpage and examine both pictures carefully for condition
Recorded in Maryland in 1975 and intended to be listened to while high, this is a high point (pun semi-unintended) of outsider/stoner/idiot-savant musique concrete. Originally released on vinyl, it's a sui generis blend of primitive synths, treated vocals, scraped metals and "field recordings" of a bong, all lovingly dosed with liberal amounts of delay and reverb.
