PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE Rudy Van Gelder mastered BLP-1506 pressing in mono from 1966 on Blue Note's classic blue & white label with original Liberty sleeve, New York USA address in the upper label rim text on side 1 and A Division Of Liberty Records, Inc. on side 2!!! Undoubtedly pressed during Blue Note's transition to Liberty and most likely the leftover NY labels were used as a way to save money. LP side 2 is VG with some light scuffs and side 1 is VG+ with even fewer and lighter scuffs. Cover still has 80% of the original shrink wrap but is open at the bottom and there is an opening in the shrink wrap on the left hand corners that caused a small water stain and small (around 1") fray spot on the cover at the top and an even smaller one at the bottom. The shrink wrap is original and can be removed through the bottom. The last 2 photos are of the cover without the shrink wrap. Even has the original $1.79 Dayton Records (R.I.P.) price sticker on the shrink with 42 West 8th Street address in New York! THAT'S provenance. Insanely rare so don't sleep Blue Note collectors.

GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
