From 1971, comes this very rare advanced DJ promo box set for Elvis-The Other Sides-Worldwide Gold Award Hits Vol. 2 on RCA LPM6402 MONO. There are four LPs in this box set, which contain fifty songs in all. Also included is the bonus poster of Elvis, and the bonus fabric swatch which is in a special RCA envelope,reading:"Something from Elvis' wardrobe for you". Also includes is a special DJ-only special advance souvenir menu for radio station collection. The menu is for the International Hotel in Las Vegas,Nevada where Elvis would appear from August 9-September 6,1971. Also included is the cover letter from the manager of National Album Promotion. The letter is for DJs and states that "...since so many of your radio stations have been a part of the Elvis Presley story since the beginning,we want you to have this special Elvis Presley kit which contains the new album,(4 LP set). It is a real bonanza for your programming. We are also enclosing an International Hotel Souvenir Menu with the compliments of Elvis and The Colonel." There is more info following about Elvis superstar status and his upcoming appearance in Las Vegas. This letter is from the manager of National Album Promotion of RCA and it is on RCA letterhead!
