ELVIS PRESLEY - ROCK 'N' ROLL
ORIGINAL FIRST EVER ISSUE OF THE DEBUT LP BY ELVIS PRESLEY
HMV LABEL 1N/1N MATRIX NUMBERS. UK RECORD!
This is the first ever issue of this LP with the writing "distributed by The Gramophone Company Limited" - written on the rear sleeve, subsequent issues omitted this information. This is the first run pressing from 1956.
This is now a very rare LP as it was manufactured in smaller quantities than many Elvis records later on. In mint condition these original issues can sell for large sums of money.
Condition for this one : Based on record collector guidelines for grading.
Labels - Excellent
The HMV labels are bright and clean and free from any writing or marking. They would grade in Excellent condition with just slight spindle marks.
Record - Good
The vinyl has many marks on it when held to the light, but no chips, or very deep scratches, no jumps or skips, plays through with no problems and is an enjoyable listen, ocassional pops once or twice and general crackle. It looks visually worse than it actually sounds.
Cover - Fair
The cover has obvious tearing to the opening edge as you can see in the pictures. The seams remain in tact. The front cover is missing most of it's laminate covering, and has a tear approx 5 inches from the outer edge to the middle. The back cover has laminate but has yellowed over time see pictures.
