This is an ORIGINAL VERY FIRST and EARLIEST ENGLISH pressing of Elvis Presley`s MASTERPIECE debut LP entitled ROCK N ROLL on the HMV record label. The man that started it all. The fully laminated half moon flip back sleeve, typical of the 50s, is confirmed as a first and earliest sleeve by the position the famous dog looking down the gramophone horn trade mark, being in the center of the flip back half moon. Second issue sleeves had this picture on the bottom left side of the sleeve. Double click the pictures and look at this sleeve closely. Im grading the sleeve as a conservative VERY GOOD ++. These fully laminated 1956 original sleeves are very flimsy and thinly made so extremely delicate . For that reason most that show up for sale have a lot of damage .This is one of the better ones. It does have some laminate lifts and cracks to the front and spinal area but those collectors familiar with this great classic will know this is in very respectable condition and that is rarely seen with this particular LP jacket. All the spinal writings are undamaged and can be read clearly.And the sleeve has sustained only slight ring ware.The original inner sleeve is present and still bares all the writing "Take good care of your records" and advice on gramophone needles etc and is in great condition and amazingly the inner cellophane is all still attached.Considering this item is 61 years old, the condition of this sleeve is pretty incredible. The vinyl has retained a lovely high luster to both sides,which is pretty incredible for its age. There are light hairlines and scuff marks to both sides.The worst mark on the whole LP is side 2 the track Mystery Train (its there if you double click the pictures). The mark covers approximately 2 thirds of the track and the result is it clicks for approximately 2 minutes but it plays through the track without jumping or skipping or sticking. That is really the only intrusive mark on the whole LP and this album plays all the way through without jumping skips or sticking. It plays exceptionally well except for the track mentioned. The beautiful classic HMV record labels are in great condition with hardly any spindle markings. Double click the pictures and you will see side 2 has the EMBOSSED RT tax code on either side of the spindle hole, this was missing from second pressings. Overall id grade this item a VERY GOOD++ on this very very presentable and highly collectible UK original record from the king of Rock n Roll Elvis Presley.

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
